Catching up~

So, it's been a while as usual. Aaron and I have successfully completed our first Mother's and Father's Days and are looking forward to many more.

I was reading Michael's post from a few weeks ago and I had to laugh out loud! Restful sleep with room in the bed are SO in the past! And I was one of those people who always said, "I'm not going to let our kid sleep in the bed with us....that's crazy....he/she can sleep in their own bed". Weeeellllllll, let me tell you. Even if you're a hardnosed individual, your kids will change your perspective in all ways. Lilly has been sleeping with us for 7 months now and despite the feet in my face, midnight headbutting, and slobbery wake-up smacks in the face, I'm going to miss it when she finally has to sleep in her own bed. Aaron on the other hand, will be doing cartwheels down the hallway. He's not a big fan of the aforementioned. Even though he loves it when she snuggles up to him, I think he'll be happy to finally sleep under the covers again. So, Michael, Aaron feels your pain!!

In other news, we had a fantastic dinner after services the other night with the Robinsons! They are excellent hosts and loads of fun to fellowship with. It was our 3, the Robinson 4, and the Carters, a wonderful couple from the Austin church. Audrey (Robinson) is the BEST cook and made the most fabulous chicken enchilladas!! Can't rave about them enough. Of course, I like all things Mexican when it comes to food. But, she did a really great job.

Oh!! I almost forgot! We got a couch! Exciting, I know. Actually, we had a couch, but it was the favorite scratching post of our Kitty. Then, in our move, it went to storage for a few months and then sat in the garage for another few months once it moved here. Recently we sold it and we've kinda just been sitting on dining room chairs all this time. So, we finally got a new couch. I guess one wouldn't fully appreciate this mental picture unless one knew that we don't have a dining table either. So, 4 TV trays butted up together in the dining area surrounded by really nice chairs is kind of funny. At least our house is extremely kid friendly.

Well, I guess that's all the damage I'm going to do right now. I have more material, but I never know if I'm going to offend someone with my humor. ;-P
